TheatreFix Guest Editors needed!

The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is running an ongoing editorial intern scheme within its busy publishing and development teams to work on www.theatrefix.co.uk

We are looking for keen writers/editors with a passion for theatre and bags of enthusiasm and ideas to intern at our Covent Garden offices for at least two days per week for a period of six weeks. You would review shows for us, run the website and blog and become a vital part of the TheatreFix team.

About the post:

You will manage www.theatrefix.co.uk, the new website aimed at 16-26 year olds, by generating creative ideas to improve both the site and its blog and implementing them to increase visitor numbers and newsletter subscribers. The post is not salaried but we will offer you one complimentary theatre ticket to a West End show per week of the six-week contract, as well as training and experience, plus a job reference for future employees.

This is an ongoing role so there is no closing date. If you are not available immediately, please apply stating when you will be available. We are currently looking for someone who could start late April 2010. Please note you must be over the age of 18 to apply for this internship and be based in or around London.

How to apply:

Please email theatrefix@solttma.co.uk, addressing your email to Katherine Wood and Charlotte Marshall, with the following:

  • Your CV and a covering letter
  • A review of a theatrical production you have seen - no more than 500 words
  • A short critique of the website www.theatrefix.co.uk
